A while ago I got a hiptop (known in some circles as a Tmobile Sidekick). It's a nifty device, and I eventually became interested in writing programs for it. Zoodangle is my second attempt (after helloworld).
ZooDangle is a non-leathal hangman game with 6 cool characters including a cow, a scarecrow, and a piratemonkeyninjarobot, which looks something like this:
.
Probably the coolest thing of all about Zoodangle is that it contains on-device network support, so if you have friends who own ZooDangle, you can send them challenging words and phrases to solve. Since ZooDangle's send buffer is 30 characters long, and there are no constraints on what characters you can send, you could effectivly send your friend something like: 'j00 |<n0 |'m t3h b3$+' , and your unfortunate compatriot would be forced to decypher your craftily constructed l33tspe@k, or face the bitter humiliation of defeat.
I wrote the code and did the gimping. All of the artwork was hand drawn by Claudia Gomez, who would be thrilled if you emailed her (langosta at skeptech.org) to tell her you how much you love her art, especially if you want to give her money to do some for you. My beautiful wife Cynthia provided the much needed Creative and Artisitic Direction, and a faithful team of Q/A Technicans identified and eradicated the bugs like a bad-ass group of ... bug eradicators. These included (in alphabetical order) Hayden and Jason Alsbrooks, Jeremy Blosser, Toby Boylan, Terri Donahue, and Kelly Eaves.
